About Me
Hello! I am Ms. Alfaro and this will be my third year as the librarian at Richey Elementary. Previously, I was a teacher for five years and this will be my eigth year in Pasadena ISD. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston - Main Campus (Go Coogs!) and my Master’s Degree from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. Some things I really enjoy doing are reading, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I am very excited to meet everyone and help our students build a love for reading! Our library is a fun place to read, learn, and Soar! Let’s make it a great school year!

The mission of the Richey Elementary Library is to foster a safe and welcoming environment in which its patrons will become 21st century learners, risk-takers, lifelong learners and readers, and information seekers. The Richey Elementary Library supports the Freedom to Read Act and strives to be a hub of learning.
The Richey Elementary vision is to develop a love of reading in students and foster a community of learning, where students seek information, explore, create, and are critical thinkers.
